  As I said, the hostel is decent, but it is a working hostel, which hosts 20 or so farm workers. The hostel is for them.

  In short, the place isn't bad a for a few nights. If you're not working for pay, don't hang about.

  Richard wasn't exactly forthcoming about working for accommodation either. Some days work are 2-3 hours. Some days 4+. And on the extra special days, when you drive the bus, you can expect a working day which lasts from 9am - 7pm. Oh, and it's 6 work days, not 5.

  Richard, unfortunately, seems to ration the truth. There's not lots to so in Mission Beach, in fact there's quite little to do beyond the skydive. Subsequently, there's not much work either.

  My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week recently. The owner, a guy named Richard, had told us that in exchange for 2hours work 5 days a week, we could have free accommodation. Great! He also said that 'theres loads to do in Mission Beach, and plenty of work available!'
